THE COST OF LAPSING

The cost of a single lapsed credential

Healthcare practices face real financial and legal consequences when credentialing slips. Most still manage it in spreadsheets.

Up to $10K
Per violation fine
DEA fines for practicing on an expired registration can reach $10,000 per violation under federal law.
Weeks
Re-credentialing delays
Reinstating payer enrollment after a lapse can take weeks, during which affected claims may be denied.
Manual
Spreadsheet risk
Manual trackers make it easy to miss renewal windows when every provider has different credential cycles.

BUYER QUESTIONS

What practices ask before starting

Can we import our current spreadsheet?

Yes. Upload an Excel, CSV, PDF, or image tracker and CredVault helps parse provider and credential data for review before records are saved.

Who receives credential reminders?

CredVault sends scheduled renewal reminders using provider and account contact details. Team members can also be invited to help manage the roster.

Can we upload provider documents?

Yes. Store credential documents such as licenses, policy documents, certificates, and related files with provider records.

What credentials can we track?

Track medical licenses, DEA registrations, CAQH attestations, malpractice policies, board certifications, NPI revalidation, CME, and custom credential types.

What are the HIPAA and BAA boundaries?

CredVault is intended for provider credential metadata, not patient records. BAAs are available on request; do not upload patient PHI unless a BAA is fully executed.

What happens if we cancel?

You can export credential data before canceling. Account access continues through the paid period, and deletion requests remove provider and credential data.

How is this different from a spreadsheet?

Spreadsheets store rows. CredVault adds reminders, status dashboards, team access, document storage, audit logs, and exportable reports.
